The most convenient international and domestic airport to Halls Gap is Melbourne International Airport, located approx 235kms from Halls Gap.

From there you can hire a car or a camper van and make your way to Halls Gap via the Western Highway, turning left from Stawell. Or you can catch public transport from Southern Cross Station, in Melbourne.

Wishing to visit the Grampians using light aircraft?

Stawell airport is the ideal landing strip, with two tarmac runways it is capable of hosting aircraft up to 30 seat capacity.

Stawell airport has tie down facilities so you can feel that your plane is safe and with refuelling available you are able to ensure a full tank before leaving.

To get to Halls Gap from Melbourne, follow the Western Highway through Ballarat and Ararat which will start your trip along 'The Inland Way 8' a network of driving tours that connect much of the Grampians region. When you arrive at Stawell, you will turn left from the Western Highway into the Halls Gap Road.
